Last updated: March 24, 2026 · These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Collective Earth website, applications, and related services (the "Services"). The Services are provided by Collective Space Inc. ("we", "us", "our"). The public-facing name of the platform is Collective Earth. By creating an account or using the Services, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
Collective Earth provides tools for community participation, including, as available, space and room bookings, profiles, discovery of regions and features, in-app feedback, and related functionality. Features may change; portions of the Services may be labeled or operated as beta and may be incomplete or unstable. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Services with reasonable notice where practicable.
You must be able to enter a binding agreement where you live and meet any minimum age we specify (not under 13, or higher if required in your region). You are responsible for accurate account information and for safeguarding credentials. Sign-in with Google and email magic links are subject to those providers' terms and our Privacy Policy. Notify us promptly at info@collectivespace.org if you become aware of unauthorized use of your account.
You agree not to:
Google. If you use Google sign-in, you must comply with the Google API Services User Data Policy and applicable Google terms. Our use of Google user data is limited to the purposes described in our Privacy Policy and these Terms.
Bookings are subject to rules shown in the product, including time zones, approval workflows where enabled, and cancellation policies. You are responsible for honoring host or venue guidelines and for your own conduct on site. We are not a landlord, employer, or insurer. Disputes between users and venue operators should be resolved primarily between those parties unless we explicitly agree otherwise in writing.
Paid features, where offered, are processed by Stripe. Pricing, taxes, trials, and refunds are as displayed at purchase and subject to Stripe's terms. You authorize us and Stripe to charge your selected payment method. Subscriptions renew until canceled using the billing interfaces we provide, including the customer billing portal where enabled.
You retain ownership of content you submit. You grant Collective Space Inc. a non-exclusive, worldwide license to host, store, reproduce, and display that content solely to operate, improve, and promote the Services, until you delete it or close your account, subject to backup and legal retention. You represent that you have the rights needed for us to use content you provide.
The Services, branding, and software (excluding your content) are owned by Collective Space Inc. or our licensors. You may not copy, modify, or reverse engineer except as allowed by law.
THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE OPERATION.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICES OR THESE TERMS WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICES IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR (B) ONE HUNDRED CANADIAN DOLLARS (CAD $100), EXCEPT WHERE LIMITATION IS PROHIBITED BY LAW. WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR LOST PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases our liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted.
You will defend and indemnify Collective Space Inc., its affiliates, and personnel against claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Services, your content, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law, except to the extent caused by our willful misconduct.
We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms, risk to security or users, or legal requirements. You may stop using the Services at any time. Provisions that by nature should survive termination (including disclaimers, limitations, and indemnity) survive.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, excluding conflict-of-law rules. The courts of British Columbia have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising from these Terms or the Services, except where mandatory consumer protections in your country require otherwise.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the new version on this page and update the "Last updated" date. Continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance, unless applicable law requires explicit consent.
